Goals

Fast Cars, International travel and rewarding yourself?

By October 10, 2014No Comments

Just returned this afternoon from Audi Swindon after driving the new V10 5.2 fsi R8, 0-62mph in 3.5secs, and a top speed of 198mph.

After reading about this so-called supercar I have to admit I was sceptical, could this mid-engine V10 actually compete with the like of the 911’s or even the incredible Gallardo? Clarkson seems to give rave reviews on this new tarmac eater, but can we trust Clarkson after his recent escapades in Argentina? Ill let you make up your own mind.

Anyway, nearly 12 months on from leaving the hustle and bustle of Bristol, we have seen incredible amounts of growth in Swindon. I’ve often been asked what’s been the secret behind our recent successes? From spending just a couple of hours at Audi Swindon, it’s hit me. Goals! From the start we’ve always had dreams of pioneering new products, divisions and taking new challenges, but the motivation behind this has always been linked with tangible rewards. We can always push ourselves to the limit in order to pursue our business goals but the determining factor of “will I be successful”, and “will I achieve my potential”, is down to how you reward yourself. James Clear, writer at entrepreneur magazine, seems to have a conflicting view towards goals, James Clear. In my opinion, if we hadn’t set these goals and rewards, we wouldn’t be in the same position that we are in now. If it’s rewarding yourself with the so called R8 supercar, or just a week away in San Francisco, which may I add is an incredible city, rewards are the icing on the cake and the key to progressing in whatever your industry may be. So what were your goals? What have you rewarded yourself with? And what are your future goals and rewards?
